Heartbeat Publications Ltd produced for the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre this year a community information magazine that not only paid for itself but also generated a substantial sum for the Centre.
The quality and the relevance of this magazine needs no comment from me, as I am quite sure that Richard and Jill Bailey will be showing you a copy of it ! What I should like to stress is the professionalism shown in its organisation and production. They told us what they planned to do and how and when they expected to do it. Everything went according to plan and happened when it was supposed to. They bring to this enterprise long experience gained working for others and now apply it more effectively working for themselves to the benefit of their own clients.
What was particularly impressive was that they made an unconditional donation to the Centre up-front as soon as we gave them the go-ahead and before they had contacted the advertisers. It was then up to them to make the enterprise work, which is exactly what they did.
We are very happy with this magazine, which includes three pages of editorial copy provided by ourselves, and are indebted to Heartbreak Publications for their high standard of management and production and their sensitivity of handling.
